Chemist (Consumer Products)

Location: Onsite in Princeton, New Jersey, USA; in-person attendance is required Monday through Friday.

Salary: $71,000–$101,100 base salary per year, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Design and execute laboratory experiments for new products, formulations, and product improvements.
• Plan, conduct, and analyze studies evaluating product performance against project objectives.
• Record, interpret, and communicate experimental results, conclusions, and recommended next steps.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and presentations for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Consumer Experience, and Packaging teams.
• Support product qualification, scale-up, technical transfer, and commercialization activities while managing multiple projects.

Requirements

• BS degree in Chemistry or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of scientific principles and product development processes.
• Strong laboratory techniques, experimental design, troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure data integrity.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of formulation science, consumer products, or related technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to laboratory technicians, interns, or junior team members.
