Maintenance Electrician

Location: Onsite industrial plant role; the company is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Salary: $29.25 per hour.

What you will do

• Install power supply wiring, conduit, electrical systems, and apparatus for industrial machines, production lines, conveyors, and buildings.
• Diagnose and repair transformers, motors, PLCs, heaters, sensors, controllers, lighting fixtures, relays, switches, PLC modules, and printed circuit boards.
• Rewire electric motors, replace motor bearings, and repair or replace mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Use controls, teach pendants, programmable controllers, heat controls, and VFDs to operate automated machinery, test malfunctions, and verify repairs.
• Discuss failures and repairs with maintenance leads, production operators, technicians, and supervisors.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, respond to electrical support calls, and train apprentices and maintenance team members.

Requirements

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and diagrams.
• Ability to write routine reports, communicate effectively, perform basic algebra and geometry, and apply common-sense problem solving.
• Knowledge of manufacturing software, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and push or pull objects up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical work, operate in awkward or tight spaces, and meet certification requirements for Power Industrial Trucks.
