Senior Actuarial Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Remote - US

Annual pay range: $199,400–$300,000

What you will do

• Manage a diverse range of healthcare actuarial projects.
• Advise healthcare clients on actuarial and strategic matters while owning engagement success and client satisfaction.
• Direct technical actuarial work and support the development of less experienced actuaries.
• Build scalable financial models, work processes, and practice infrastructure with leadership.
• Develop strong client relationships and coordinate accurate, timely project execution across RSC teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• FSA or ASA designation required.
• 15+ years of healthcare actuarial experience.
• Experience with healthcare databases and data sources, including claims, encounters, labs, and EMR data.
• Project, client, and financial management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, and R/RStudio.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial and medical stop loss markets, captives, MEWAs, reserving, pricing, underwriting, and financial modeling.
• Experience with healthcare risk modeling, risk mitigation strategies, predictive modeling, and ROI analysis.
• Traditional Health & Welfare actuarial and underwriting experience.
• Python or machine learning experience.
