High School Spanish Teacher (Education)

Location: Philadelphia, PA, USA; on-site school schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Salary: $56,500–$79,000+ for uncertified teachers; $60,000–$85,000+ for certified teachers.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging Spanish lessons using provided curricula and resources.
• Create an affirming, inclusive, safe, and focused classroom environment using positive behavior-management strategies.
• Analyze student work and academic data to adjust instruction and refine curriculum.
• Provide accommodations and modifications, maintain accurate grades and records, and communicate student progress to families.
• Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, instructional coaches, and school leadership through professional development and feedback.
• Participate in school events, family engagement activities, student supervision duties, and field trips.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II is strongly preferred.
• Uncertified candidates must be committed to enrolling in a Pennsylvania-approved certification program and able to submit transcripts upon hire.
• Completion of PA State Police, PA Child Abuse, and Cogent Federal Fingerprinting clearances is required.
