Lead Enterprise Application Solutions Architect (SAP)

Location: Hybrid role based in Durham, NC or Silver Spring, MD, with at least three days per week in the office; in-office requirements may increase based on business needs.

Salary: $153,000–$205,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve financial systems architecture across multiple SAP applications and modules.
• Analyze requirements across SAP modules and design solutions that address business and system pain points.
• Partner with stakeholders and business process owners to establish priorities, roadmaps, and project plans.
• Perform functional testing and documentation, including opportunities for test automation and process improvement.
• Review consultant and peer analysis, oversee change management and controls, and improve system governance.
• Coordinate user training and collaborate with internal experts, third-party consultants, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• 10+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience in FI/CO and 4+ years supporting and maintaining a live SAP environment.
• Experience with US GAAP, financial reporting, accounting, or business process solutions consulting.
• SAP experience in life sciences and validated systems.
• Experience with AP automation systems such as ReadSoft, OpenText, or Ariba.
• Strong communication, documentation, prioritization, project delivery, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• SAP certification.
• Experience with S/4HANA and system migration or upgrade efforts.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Concur, TrinTech or other account reconciliation software, ServiceNow, or GL Wand.
