Food Safety and Certification Specialist (with HACCP standard) (GBS Technical Reviewer - BRCGS)

Location: Asean Dr, Alabang, Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines

SGS provides testing, inspection, and certification services, while its Philippines-based GBS team supports international affiliates.

What you will do

• Review BRCGS audit report packs to confirm compliance with SGS procedures, accreditation requirements, and BRCGS criteria.
• Conduct technical reviews and certification decisions to support accurate reports and timely certificate issuance.
• Coordinate review priorities with the Global BRCGS Product Manager to meet scheme KPIs.
• Maintain the accuracy of scheme-owner databases and provide technical support to affiliates, auditors, and customers.
• Support proposals, business development, internal training, and additional BRCGS-related technical tasks.
• Follow SGS quality, health, safety, environment, and energy policies, including incident reporting, risk assessments, emergency readiness, and safe waste handling.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in food-related or bioscience disciplines.
• At least five years of experience in the food industry or retail.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and quality management principles, food manufacturing processes, and food-sector challenges across product categories.
• Recognized HACCP qualification lasting at least two days and including an examination.
• Fluent English is required.
• Strong organization, communication, decisiveness, attention to detail, independence, customer focus, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Lead Auditor or technical reviewer experience with BRCGS, FSSC, IFS, or another Global Food Safety scheme.
