Salary: $31.80–$48.92 per hour

What you will do

  • Perform moderate- and high-complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, and immunology.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, assist with phlebotomy, and support special procedures such as bone marrow procedures.
  • Operate laboratory instruments, complete scheduled maintenance, prepare reagents, and monitor equipment performance.
  • Perform quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, result verification, and corrective-action documentation.
  • Process in-house and reference-laboratory testing, maintain patient records, and chart results accurately.
  • Train laboratory employees, serve as a resource for laboratory science information, and oversee daily activities when the supervisor is absent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related healthcare field.
  • Five years of experience required.
  • Current state license where required; licensure and certification requirements depend on the state.
  • AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of CLIA moderate- and high-complexity testing, laboratory quality systems, OSHA requirements, and universal precautions.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, operate complex laboratory equipment, and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
