What you will do

• Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling, fabrication, machining, and production methods.
• Conduct time studies and workstation or cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical support to production personnel and input on fixtures and tooling.
• Assist with plant layout, workstation design, and documentation for new product launches.
• Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.

Requirements

• Must be a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field throughout the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
• Working knowledge or exposure to an ERP system such as JD Edwards.
• Experience or exposure to welding, machining, fabrication, cell or work-center layout, and 2D or 3D CAD software.
• Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.
