Engineer Intern - Industrial

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States. Willingness to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, Tennessee for Summer 2027 is required; relocation assistance is provided for candidates whose permanent address is more than 50 miles from Murfreesboro.

What you will do

• Support production processes and manufacturing goals.
• Develop work instructions and engage employees in problem-solving.
• Perform time studies and workstation or cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
• Source or design improved tooling, equipment, fixtures, and workstation layouts.
• Manage assigned projects and contribute ideas to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Learn and use JDE manufacturing software, Windchill, and Creo.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or another related engineering field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Must be willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, Tennessee for Summer 2027.
• Interests may include torque tools, high-voltage systems, cranes, and tooling fixtures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of or exposure to JD Edwards.
• Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.
• Manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Experience with AGVs, Excel, AutoCAD, or heavy equipment.
