Mechanical Design Intern (Summer 2027) (CAD)

Pay range: $18.00–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Create engineering 3D models, 2D drawings, and electrical schematics using computer-aided design software.
• Prepare Bills of Material for production and new product development.
• Create Engineering Change Notices to release new or revised models and drawings.
• Assist with material selection for engineered parts.
• Follow standard operating procedures, CAD procedures, drafting standards, and department work instructions.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or a related engineering field for the entire internship.
• Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week, throughout the summer.
• Ability to understand linear measurements and Imperial and Metric systems, and read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience with CATIA or other CAD design software.
