VDC Designer 3 (BIM/Revit)

Pay range: $112,640–$143,360 per year

What you will do

• Create, manage, and refine 3D electrical system models in Revit.
• Coordinate electrical models with other disciplines and trades, maintaining compliance with BIM execution plans and project standards.
• Identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks or Revizto.
• Prepare technical drawings, schedules, and bills of materials to support procurement and construction.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, manage project deliverables, and support medium-to-large project workflows.
• Improve modeling processes, establish BIM best practices, and provide technical guidance to Designer 1 and Designer 2 staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination or electrical design within the construction industry.
• Experience with medium-to-large projects involving complex electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks or Revizto, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of electrical systems, BIM standards, model coordination platforms, project deadlines, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to occasionally perform physical activities such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, crawling, standing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or other Revit automation tools.
• Experience with BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards such as NEC and IEC.
