Designer (Architecture)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; four days in the office with flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays

Salary: $70,000–$86,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop project documents, layouts, specifications, and other architectural deliverables.
• Propose technical solutions and contribute to design excellence for small to moderate-sized buildings.
• Conduct design analyses, layout designs, code studies, and basic architectural tasks.
• Apply BIM standards, develop organizational cartoon sets, and coordinate drawings and specifications.
• Execute quality control procedures and resolve clash detection issues.
• Collaborate with project teams to communicate design ideas and meet schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Architecture.
• 3–5 years of professional architecture experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and knowledge of Bluebeam and other standard architecture software.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of architectural materials, methods, tools, and design techniques.
• Working knowledge of sustainable design principles and technical plan production.
• Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, with the ability to multitask and assist with marketing and business development.

Nice to have

• LEED AP or other professional certifications.
