Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States. Four days per week are worked in the office, with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design electrical building systems from schematics through construction administration.
• Develop electrical designs, layouts, calculations, reports, and engineering narratives.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
• Provide electrical engineering expertise on large, complex projects.
• Lead project teams, manage workloads, and mentor emerging professional engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years of experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Experience designing power, lighting, and low-voltage systems for commercial, educational, sports, workplace, or civic projects in a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
• Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.

Nice to have

• Experience designing fire alarm, communications, or security systems.
• Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
• Understanding of architectural design and collaboration with architects.
