Manager, Quality Control

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, United States — plant-based role; requires 25–50% travel.

What you will do

• Lead quality control operations for a designated region covering a home-based QC laboratory and multiple plant laboratories.
• Drive quality and operational improvement initiatives, including Quality Improvement Program assessments and 5S laboratory organization.
• Ensure plants remain audit- and inspection-ready and maintain current manufacturing, raw material, and plant-specific QA/QC procedures.
• Troubleshoot finished-product and production issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish sampling, hold/release, batching, processing, code-rotation, and other production controls where needed.
• Coordinate QC activities with Plant, QA, and R&D personnel and lead training for QC staff across plants.

Requirements

• 10 years of QC laboratory experience preferred.
• 5–10 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of cementitious chemistry, epoxy liquids, latex, and/or relevant hirify.global product lines.
• Expertise in QC procedures, laboratory instrumentation calibration, testing, documentation, and ISO 9001 traceability.
• Advanced computer skills with Access, ACT, Excel, and Word; ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong organization, analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and record-keeping skills; ability to lift or carry at least 50 pounds.
