Quality Control Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Millington, Maryland, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

Compensation: $17.20–$31.90 per hour

What you will do

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final product inspections and testing.
• Use calipers, micrometers, DFT gauges, go/no-go gauges, and other inspection equipment to validate dimensional and functional requirements.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and products, and participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Support containment and resolution of non-conforming products.
• Conduct First Article Inspections and document results.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, and Logistics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a technical bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of quality experience in manufacturing and experience with measurement tools and inspection techniques are preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing or fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and procedures and complete required documentation.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems is preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Ability to safely stand and walk for extended periods, perform bending, kneeling, climbing, and other production-support activities, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
