Senior Cargo Underwriter (Multinational) (Marine Insurance)

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal multinational cargo business and provide technical support for an assigned portfolio.
• Originate and transact business focused on profitable underwriting outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, distribution teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Obtain technical underwriting information and resolve account and insurance programme queries.
• Coordinate claims reporting requirements for major accounts.
• Work with processing teams and support staff across UK and overseas offices to ensure consistent service delivery.

Requirements

• Advanced working knowledge of multinational cargo business.
• Extensive experience in a commercial insurance environment or the London Market.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and work effectively with ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Financial understanding and a commercial focus on profitable business.

Nice to have

• CII qualification or progression towards ACII.
