What you will do

• Develop, implement, and monitor environmental safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect plant facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct potential safety hazards.
• Define requirements for safety clothing and design or install safety devices on machinery.
• Conduct and coordinate safety training to educate workers on emergency protocols, policies, and laws.
• Investigate industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepare detailed accident reports.
• Manage workers' compensation, OSHA 300 logs, and return-to-work programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment, or Health Sciences (or equivalent experience).
• 3-7 years of experience in EH&S or a related position.
• Strong knowledge of EH&S regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Henrico, VA.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in managing people or direct reports.
