Chief of Staff, Growth (Defense Technology)

Location: Based in Bristol, Rhode Island, United States; periodic travel required for customer, government, and industry engagements.

What you will do

• Support the Chief Growth Officer's priorities, meeting cadence, decision tracking, and communications across growth functions.
• Translate growth strategy into execution plans with clear owners, deadlines, and follow-through.
• Prepare executive briefings, leadership readouts, board-level updates, status reports, and strategic communications.
• Coordinate business development, government relations, strategic communications, engineering, programs, finance, and executive leadership.
• Represent the Chief Growth Officer in meetings, summarize actionable items, and manage special projects.
• Review and improve key functions and processes while identifying risks before they escalate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in a chief of staff or executive support role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive and external-stakeholder drafting.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguity, move quickly, and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Must be eligible for SECRET clearance or above; active clearance is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience at a startup or in defense or government technology.
• Government contracting, business development, or government relations experience.
• Military, government, or defense sector experience.
• MBA or equivalent experience.
• Active security clearance.
