What you will do

• Prepare complete electrical estimates for primarily commercial projects, with occasional work across healthcare, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
• Interpret civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage drawings and specifications.
• Estimate labor, materials, administrative costs, quotations, and subcontracts using electrical estimating software and takeoff tools.
• Lead kickoff meetings, pre-bid and final bid reviews, job walks, customer interviews, and bid strategy discussions.
• Lead small estimating teams, coordinate with Business Development, Project Management, Sales, Preconstruction, designers, and field leadership, and resolve project issues.
• Develop estimating standards, scopes of work, bid leveling documents, checklists, supporting documentation, and training and mentorship programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical conceptual estimating, low-voltage estimating, National Electrical Code requirements, and design/build estimating.
• Strong computerized estimating skills and experience with electrical estimating software; Accubid or Enterprise experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Excel, along with strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, presentation, multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, manage deadlines, and train or mentor estimating staff.
