Senior Account Risk Engineer (Power Generation)

Location: FL-Miami; hybrid work with approximately 50% travel, predominantly in the US and Latin America.

What you will do

• Conduct loss control inspections, desktop reviews, account reviews, consultative visits, and plan reviews for energy accounts.
• Evaluate hazards involving turbine generators, power generation equipment, renewable technologies, construction, occupancies, and external exposures.
• Assess management and maintenance programs, fire protection systems, water supplies, sprinkler demands, and facility protection features.
• Analyze business interruption, contingent business interruption, and interdependency exposures.
• Determine fire and natural catastrophe loss estimates and document findings in data-driven reports.
• Work with underwriters, clients, brokers, and account engineers while mentoring and training less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• At least five years of industry experience in power generation and renewable energy.
• Fluent English and Spanish required.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems, influence stakeholders, adapt to changing requirements, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience inspecting energy and construction facilities, reading construction drawings and diagrams, and using inspection instruments.
• Valid driver’s license, current passport, and ability to perform physical fieldwork, including working at heights, using access equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in hazardous locations.
