Technical Accounting Lead (US GAAP)

Location: Hybrid position in Hartsville, SC or Charlotte, NC, USA

Annual base salary: $160,720–$180,810, plus a 14.5% target bonus. Additional compensation ranges are listed for Associate Director and Director levels.

What you will do

• Identify and assess complex technical accounting issues and prepare technical memorandums.
• Develop, review, and maintain company accounting policies and advise business leaders on their application.
• Analyze new accounting pronouncements and lead implementation efforts across the company.
• Resolve technical accounting matters with external auditors and support external financial reporting under US GAAP.
• Support audits, acquisition and disposition transactions, purchase price accounting, and annual impairment analyses.
• Lead enterprise-wide training on US GAAP, internal controls, and SEC matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• CPA certification required.
• 9–12 years or more of experience, including at least 4–6 years in public accounting.
• Knowledge of key technical accounting areas under US GAAP.
• Strong communication, planning, leadership, multitasking, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
