Manager of Technical Accounting

What you will do

• Prepare audit support and respond to quarterly and annual auditor requests during reporting and tax cycles.
• Lead technical accounting research and author accounting position memos for complex transactions, including business combinations, asset acquisitions, PP&E, equity, investments, debt, and digital assets.
• Prepare and review disclosures and supporting schedules for SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
• Maintain accounting policy documentation and identify opportunities to streamline reporting and close activities.
• Support SOX 404 internal controls over financial reporting, including walkthroughs, control documentation, and evidence preparation.
• Collaborate with accounting, tax, operations, and external auditors, including reviewing income tax provision components under ASC 740.

Requirements

• CPA license required.
• 4–8 years of progressive experience in public accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting at a public company.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related reporting requirements.
• Experience writing or reviewing technical accounting memos and footnote disclosures.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including pivot tables, formulas, and document formatting.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to pass an MVR check, and ability to work on-site with required physical tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex debt instrument accounting, investment accounting, or digital asset accounting.
• Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, ActiveDisclosure, DFin, or Workiva.
• Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced public company environment.
