Director, Learning Strategist

Location: Illinois, United States — 100% remote

Salary: $126,200–$180,300 per year

What you will do

• Translate business strategies into targeted learning solutions that improve performance, capability development, and organizational growth.
• Own learning portfolios for assigned business areas, overseeing needs analysis, design, implementation, sustainment, and curriculum refreshes.
• Consult with business stakeholders and subject matter experts on skill gaps, performance challenges, learning priorities, and investment decisions.
• Guide the Learning Experience Design team in creating engaging, accessible, human-centered learning solutions.
• Champion AI-enabled learning methods, including blended learning, digital experiences, simulations, and microlearning.
• Define success metrics, maintain learning dashboards, analyze outcomes, and communicate impact through business reviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development.
• At least 5 years in a consulting, strategic, or leadership capacity.
• Experience leading learning strategies in complex, matrixed organizations and managing enterprise learning portfolios.
• Expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and learning measurement methodologies.
• Strong data storytelling, analytical, communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
