Learning Design Lead

Location: Fully remote within the United States. Candidates must be able to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST). Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $94,900–$130,500 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Diagnose workforce skill gaps, target behaviors, performance needs, and business priorities.
• Design and deliver learner-centered solutions across instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, microlearning, job-aid, performance-support, and blended formats.
• Translate complex technical concepts into relevant learning experiences in partnership with technology leaders and subject matter experts.
• Lead initiatives from discovery and solution design through implementation, deployment, measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Establish success measures and evaluate learning effectiveness using feedback, assessments, behavior indicators, performance data, and business outcomes.
• Configure, test, maintain, and support learning assets in an LMS, while using AI-enabled tools for analysis, content development, personalization, workflow efficiency, and quality review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, learning technology, business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing and delivering end-to-end learning solutions for technical audiences or strategic workforce development.
• 8+ years of experience selecting and applying learning methodologies based on learner needs and business outcomes.
• At least 5 years of experience evaluating learning effectiveness and applying instructional design, learning experience design, or performance consulting.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM; experience with multimedia and eLearning tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate.
• Experience managing courses in Cornerstone OnDemand or a similar LMS, with strong stakeholder consultation, communication, planning, prioritization, and influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in instructional design, education, learning technology, adult education, workforce development, organizational development, or a related discipline.
• Experience using GenAI or AI-enabled tools such as Copilot, Gemini, Synthesia, or Articulate.
• Experience with project management platforms such as Microsoft Planner, JIRA Align, or MS Project.
• Certification from ATD, CPTD, Kirkpatrick, or a comparable instructional design or professional development framework.
• Experience designing learning solutions in IT, technology, or another technical environment.
