Sr Learning Experience Designer

Location: US - California - San Diego; hybrid

Base salary: $90,000–$135,000 per year, plus variable cash compensation and potential equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and improve learning experiences supporting leadership capability, manager effectiveness, employee development, and workforce skills.
• Build blended learning journeys across instructor-led, digital, experiential, and self-directed formats.
• Create facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, toolkits, FAQs, templates, example libraries, and microlearning.
• Collaborate with Talent Management, HR Business Partners, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver learning solutions.
• Develop learning, communication, and enablement materials for adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
• Analyze learner feedback, participation data, and performance indicators to improve content and delivery.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, talent development, leadership development, organizational development, or a related field.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 3+ years with a master's degree, or equivalent experience; a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience developing blended learning experiences and supporting leadership, manager, employee learning, or capability-building programs.
• Working knowledge of adult learning principles, facilitation, learning experience design, and behavior-change practices.
• Strong project coordination, communication, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and accessibility-focused design skills.
• The role is hybrid and based in San Diego, California, United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in a complex or matrixed organization and familiarity with knowledge management and employee enablement resources.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools for content development, curation, or learner engagement.
• Certification or training in learning experience design, instructional design, human-centered design, organizational development, or project management.
• Familiarity with Workday Learning, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms.
• Experience using learner feedback and engagement data to improve learning content and delivery.
