Fabrication Operator Lead - Night Shift

Location: Houston, TX, US; onsite night-shift production role

What you will do

• Lead and support the fabrication team in achieving daily safety, quality, delivery, and business-unit goals.
• Train new hires and current operators by developing and implementing comprehensive training plans.
• Fill in for absent team members to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
• Promote Lean principles, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and adherence to takt time.
• Conduct safety inspections, reinforce behavior-based safety practices, and mentor employees on quality standards.
• Manage workflow, remove production barriers, maintain accurate documentation, and provide backup support to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of production work experience preferred.
• Expertise in the assigned production process and knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, train operators on standard work, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, plus adaptability in a changing business environment.
