Senior AI Researcher - Emerging Risks & Opportunities

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 CAD per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus

What you will do

• Design research methodologies that quantify portfolio exposure to structural themes such as AI disruption, climate change, geopolitics, and supply chain disruption.
• Research public and private companies using financial filings, earnings transcripts, news, press releases, supply chain networks, patent filings, and hiring data.
• Implement transparent retrieval-augmented generation and agentic pipelines for investment research.
• Build evaluation pipelines, regression tests, and quality measurement approaches for multi-step LLM workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to turn research prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems.
• Prototype emerging agentic and reasoning techniques and codify methodologies into reusable prompt and taxonomy configurations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building LLM systems for text analysis, information extraction, or document classification.
• Deep familiarity with knowledge retrieval, RAG, and AI agent architecture.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with agentic orchestration and LLM application frameworks such as LangGraph or LlamaIndex.
• Experience designing prompts and decision rules that translate analytical frameworks into executable LLM pipelines.
• Experience applying AI methodologies to investment research and converting unstructured data into measurable investment signals.
• Experience developing evaluation methodologies that measure quality and consistency across multi-step agentic workflows.
