Safety Coordinator (Construction Safety)

Location: Vienna, VA, United States; full-time onsite role with project visits.

Salary: $83,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Work with the Regional Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures across construction jobsites.
• Conduct safety audits and evaluate jobsite conditions to identify and drive improvements.
• Advise company business units and project teams on safety requirements and planning.
• Verify compliance by employees, trade partners, visitors, and vendors with company guidelines, project requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Attend and contribute to company and project safety meetings.
• Assist the Risk Management Department with incident investigations and claim mitigation when needed.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently prioritize and execute short- and long-term objectives while maintaining accurate records.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and iOS applications.
• Good driving record and reliable transportation for project visits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification and knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards.

Nice to have

• Construction OSHA 30-hour certification.
