Legal Counsel / Contract Manager, Houston OR Orlando

Location: Houston, Texas, or Orlando, Florida, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Relocation is not offered.

What you will do

• Support operations teams and project managers with contract interpretation, change orders, amendments, settlements, and contractual correspondence.
• Advise project and company management on contractual and commercial risks, opportunities, and project execution matters.
• Analyze technical, commercial, and contractual risks to develop project-specific claim and execution strategies.
• Pursue outgoing claims and defend incoming claims by reviewing project documents, records, and relevant facts.
• Perform quantum and delay analyses to determine causation, responsibility, and impacts on project schedules.
• Collaborate with legal teams on claims, defenses, counterclaims, and dispute proceedings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and qualification to practice law in the United States or Canada.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating customer contracts for large-scale projects.
• Experience in contract and claims management, including handling multiple complex matters simultaneously.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation, collaboration, and independent working skills in geographically diverse teams.
• Familiarity with EPC, construction, and long-term service agreements; ability to travel domestically and internationally 15–20%.
