Environmental Scientist

Location: New Providence, New Jersey, United States; limited regional and statewide travel is required.

Salary: USD $49,649.60–$81,473.60 per year.

What you will do

• Support environmental compliance and remediation projects in field and office settings.
• Conduct environmental assessments, investigations, site inspections, soil and groundwater sampling, and subcontractor oversight.
• Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, work plans, design documents, and construction documents.
• Support pilot- and full-scale remediation system design projects.
• Help manage complex tasks against scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Assist with proposals, including work scopes and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, or Geology from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
• Limited regional and statewide travel availability.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, including NJDEP, is preferred.

Nice to have

• 0–1 year of environmental compliance or groundwater remediation consulting experience, including internships.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, ESRI, or HydroCAD.
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with an up-to-date 8-hour annual refresher.
