General Manager (Automotive Retail)

Location: Charleston, South Carolina, United States; onsite leadership of two dealerships.

What you will do

• Lead all operations across Hyundai of Charleston and Genesis of Charleston, including sales, F&I, service, and parts.
• Develop and execute plans for sales, service, profitability, customer satisfaction, and continued growth.
• Own full P&L responsibility, analyze financial statements, forecast performance, and control expenses.
• Optimize inventory, pricing, aging, turn rates, CRM discipline, digital lead conversion, and local-market marketing.
• Recruit, coach, and develop department leaders while establishing KPIs, accountability, and performance reviews.
• Maintain OEM standards, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, ethical operations, and strong relationships with partners and the local community.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Sales Manager or higher in an automotive dealership.
• Demonstrated success in profitability, operational performance, financial analysis, and dealership KPIs.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, organizational, inventory-management, and pricing-strategy skills.
• Proficiency with DMS and CRM systems and a valid driver's license.
• Experience with Hyundai, Genesis, import, luxury, multi-brand, or multi-rooftop dealership operations is preferred.
• CDK DMS experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and prior full P&L General Manager responsibility are preferred.
