Transmission EIT/Transmission Designer

Location: Billings, Montana, United States; occasional short-term travel of 1–5 days may be required, with infrequent assignments lasting several weeks.

Compensation: $66,800–$90,500 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

What you will do

• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, specifications, and bills of materials for high-voltage transmission line projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design for steel structures, foundations, and support systems in compliance with ASCE, ACI, AISC, IEEE, and NESC codes.
• Develop design options, models, calculations, sketches, concept drawings, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, and protection and control engineers to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Review vendor shop drawings, participate in site visits and field reviews, and provide constructability and field engineering support.
• Support project management activities including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, cost estimates, specifications, and client communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under the direction of project managers, project engineers, senior engineers, and designers.
• Willingness to participate actively in an employee-owned culture.
• Ability to work in Billings, Montana, United States, and travel occasionally for project activities.
