Senior Engineer - Transmission (Geotechnical)

Salary: $105,300–$157,900 per year

What you will do

• Develop scopes of work, proposals, and professional documents for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, safety, and delivery for transmission and power infrastructure work.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports, perform engineering analyses, and provide professional opinions and practical solutions.
• Lead technical and project teams, coordinate staff and resources, and build teams for transmission projects.
• Review analyses and reports prepared by junior engineers and resolve internal and external quality issues.
• Develop client relationships, support business goals, and pursue transmission and power infrastructure opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration/license required; additional state licenses must be obtained.
• At least five years of geotechnical engineering experience in transmission or power infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of geology, geologic stability, and performance mechanisms.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving history, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and availability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Experience working in a consulting firm.
• Existing client relationships in the transmission or power infrastructure sector.
