Structural Designer III

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma; position can be worked from any hirify.global US office location

Salary: USD $80,017.60–$100,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Provide structural design services from concept-level through final design.
• Prepare layouts, details, specifications, and bidding documents for permitting, contractor bidding, and construction.
• Develop conceptual and construction-level drawings, detail sheets, and connection details.
• Design shallow and deep foundations using structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry applications.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and other designers on technically challenging utility and renewable energy projects.
• Maintain quality standards across project deliverables.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of engineering experience focused on structural design; consulting experience is preferred.
• Expertise with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Strong oral communication, analytical, professional judgment, and team-building skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Availability to work from a hirify.global office location in the United States.

Nice to have

• Substation design experience.
• Experience with 3D design software such as Inventor or Navisworks.
• Steel structure detailing and connection design experience.
• Experience collaborating closely with structural engineers to incorporate comments and reduce iterative review cycles.
