Archaeological Field Technician

Location: Bellevue, Washington, with work out of the Seattle, Washington office and field projects in and around Washington.

Salary: USD $24.26–$28.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
• Ensure the quality of archaeological data, fieldwork, and project paperwork.
• Complete desktop reviews of utility and transmission projects and prior survey coverage.
• Coordinate project requirements and expectations with project managers.
• Complete assigned work accurately and on schedule in fast-paced field environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related discipline.
• At least one year of experience in archaeological surveys and/or excavations.
• Ability to think critically in the field and maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Willingness to travel, walk long distances, and perform physically demanding work in steep terrain, heat, cold, and other varying conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle records, physical, drug screening, and background checks.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with digital field technology, including GPS and Trimble equipment.
