Archaeological Technician (Environmental)

Location: Jacksonville, Arkansas, United States; regular travel and physically demanding fieldwork required.

Salary: USD $23.00–$29.00 per hour

What you will do

• Participate in Phase I cultural resources surveys and other archaeological field projects.
• Support projects ranging from local surveys to corridor surveys and data recovery projects.
• Work with archaeologists in the Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
• Travel regularly and work overtime or extended days and weeks when project needs require it.
• Walk long distances and perform fieldwork in steep terrain, heat, cold, and other variable conditions.
• Contribute to practical solutions for expected and unexpected project challenges.

Requirements

• BA degree in Anthropology or a related field.
• Archaeological field experience in the Southeast or adjacent regions.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a drug test, background check, physical and motor vehicle records check is required.
