Archaeological Field Technician

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico; openings are also available through the Columbia, South Carolina office. The role requires regular travel and physically demanding fieldwork in varying terrain and weather conditions.

Salary: USD $24.26–$39.14 per hour

What you will do

• Participate in archaeological field projects, from local surveys to large multi-state assignments.
• Work closely with archaeologists in the Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
• Support effective solutions to expected and unexpected project challenges.
• Travel regularly and work overtime or extended workdays and work weeks when required.
• Walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks in steep terrain and hot, cold, or otherwise challenging conditions.
• Follow company policies and procedures and contribute to assigned special projects.

Requirements

• BA degree in Anthropology or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to quality and safety, with a strong work ethic.
• Three professional references with contact information included with the resume.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test, background check, physical check, and motor vehicle records check is required.

Nice to have

• Archaeological field experience in the Southeast.
