San Francisco Legal, Risk and Compliance Intern (AI) - 2027

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid work combining in-person and remote work; interns must complete work in the designated location during business hours and may travel to local or out-of-state client sites.

Salary: $28–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Collaborate with consulting teams to deliver solutions for complex client business problems.
• Work within internal control, risk, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
• Develop process flows, work programs, reports, and control summaries.
• Review transactions and recommend process improvements.
• Support engagements across financial crime, anti-money laundering, risk management, credit services, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, analytics, and legal consulting.
• Apply AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools to create deliverables and analyze information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Juris Doctor degree in a relevant discipline.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Critical thinking, analytical ability, teamwork, independence, and a growth mindset.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area, including the use of technology tools to analyze large data sets.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with banking, compliance, insurance, legal operations, or asset management processes and issues.
• Interest in obtaining professional certifications and a strong academic background.
