Safety Representative (Construction Safety)

Location: Eagan, Minnesota, with regular work at construction jobsites in the greater Twin Cities Area

Pay range: $76,800–$102,400 per year

What you will do

• Attend daily safety meetings, pre-job briefings, and bi-weekly toolbox talks.
• Conduct safety trainings and orientations and educate workers on company safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect jobsites, machinery, equipment, tools, ladders, scaffolding, hazardous materials, and protective measures before and during work.
• Identify and mitigate hazards, verify PPE use, and ensure workers are secured from fall hazards when working above six feet.
• Maintain project documentation and write detailed reports on inspections, daily activities, and accidents.
• Investigate accidents, conduct periodic safety audits, and support safety and loss prevention programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least three years of construction safety experience; electrical industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of standard safety industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and make safety-related decisions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with people from varied backgrounds.
• Ability to work at construction jobsites, climb ladders and scaffold stair towers, walk on uneven surfaces, and wear a hard hat and work boots.
