Licensed Customer Service Rep - Midland, MI (Insurance)

Location: On-site in Michigan, United States; the posting identifies Midland, MI and specifies the Petoskey, MI office location. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with rotational Saturday hours and occasional weekends, holidays, and community events.

Starting pay: $23.00–$25.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Support members with insurance policy questions, product information, payments, renewals, coverage changes, and complaints.
• Process applications, endorsements, amendments, transfers, reinstatements, cancellations, and other policy transactions in accordance with state rules and company policies.
• Prepare insurance quotes, apply underwriting rules and eligible discounts, complete sales, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Promote insurance, membership, financial, credit card, travel, and life products, referring customers to agents when appropriate.
• Conduct payment processing, outbound service calls, retention calls, and delinquency follow-up.
• Support office events, local community activities, record maintenance, and general agency administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Property & Casualty Insurance license required.
• Ability to qualify for, obtain, and maintain all required state licenses and appointments.
• Customer service, insurance servicing, sales support, payment processing, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of insurance terminology, regulations, underwriting procedures, sales compliance, and monetary calculations.
• Ability to use insurance or membership systems, Microsoft Office, and accurate record-keeping processes while working in a high-volume environment.
