Senior Global Commodity Manager - Metals Raw Materials

Location: Hybrid work in Melville, New York; Bloomingdale, Illinois; Morganton, North Carolina; or Chihuahua, Mexico. Up to 30% domestic and international travel to supplier locations and company facilities.

Salary: USD $120,000–$150,000 per year in the United States, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Mexico pay range: USD $125,000–$135,000 monthly as stated in the posting.

What you will do

• Lead the financial and operational performance of metals raw material categories.
• Develop and execute global commodity and strategic sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, deliver cost reductions, and identify savings opportunities.
• Manage supplier quality programs, corrective actions, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze market trends, raw material dynamics, spending, and total cost of ownership.
• Lead global cross-functional initiatives, mentor buyers, and communicate results to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of work experience, including 5 years in strategic sourcing or commodity management.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies, improving operational performance, and optimizing costs in a global environment.
• Expertise in analysis, finance, supply chain management, supplier relationships, and contract negotiation.
• Advanced analytical and presentation skills using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-influencing skills.

Nice to have

• CPIM, CPSM, or CPM certification.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
• International travel experience and established supplier relationships across global markets.
