Technology Strategy Business Consultant

Location: Chicago, IL, with a hybrid schedule between the office and home

Salary: $83,100–$141,300 USD annually, plus a discretionary bonus program and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Drive analysis and presentation materials for technology portfolio capital expenditures, including strategic prioritization, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Create leadership-level analyses covering technology usage and demand, financial impacts, and contractual considerations.
• Build financial business cases for technology decisions, including vendor changes and new products or capabilities.
• Use Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools to develop data-driven recommendations for strategic planning.
• Work with Finance and Procurement to analyze and report on productivity and automation initiatives.
• Lead special projects and respond to ad hoc requests supporting the Technology organization.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of related experience in project analysis, management reporting, planning, and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating financial results and projections across financial statements.
• Strong accounting, GAAP, reporting, and financial analysis knowledge gained through an advanced degree or related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior management and business unit officers.
• Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
