Senior Technical Business Analyst

Location: US Remote, with preferred residence in Virginia and local travel to the hirify.global office and client events as needed.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 per year.

What you will do

• Support the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution design through testing and delivery.
• Define system requirements with business and IT stakeholders and translate ambiguous concepts into project plans, documented requirements, and user stories.
• Analyze business processes, risks, gaps, issues, datasets, trends, anomalies, and root causes to develop practical recommendations.
• Interpret ETL processes and data flows, and support data integration, mapping, validation, and business-logic verification.
• Collaborate with technologists and cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions and support end users through training and technical assistance.
• Support energy-efficiency and demand-response program tracking and reporting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; related experience may substitute for education.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on IT or software development projects in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Experience creating requirements specifications, use cases, design documents, test plans, and test scripts, with strong knowledge of SDLC phases.
• Experience with project planning, timelines, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, change management, and rollout initiatives.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SQL.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice to have

• Experience in utility, energy, demand response, or energy-efficiency sectors.
• Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, or MS Project.
• Experience supporting software testing and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
• Strong customer service, project planning, organization, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
