Manufacturing Engineer II (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; 2nd shift; travel up to 10% of the time; relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $78,500–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects and coordinate product improvements, new product releases, and engineering change requests.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements using DFx principles.
• Develop test procedures and support test specification, fixture design, and fixture sourcing activities.
• Perform root cause and failure analysis for assembly and test issues, drive corrective actions, and prepare failure analysis reports.
• Evaluate and document work methods, business processes, and policies while mentoring and training lower-level engineers.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in manufacturing engineering with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering best practices and how the function integrates with other engineering areas.
• Ability to solve complex problems using analysis from multiple information sources and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience with lean principles, automation, continuous improvement, and manufacturing cost reduction.
• Ability to perform Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis during new product development.
• Availability for 2nd-shift work in Austin, Texas; relocation is not available.
