Manufacturing Engineer II (E2) 2nd Shift (Etch)

Location: Austin, Texas; 100% onsite at the Austin campus; 2nd shift

Salary: $78,500–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects and coordinate product improvements, new product releases, and engineering change requests.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, recommend tooling and process requirements, and apply DFx principles to improve cost and quality.
• Develop test procedures and fixtures, coordinate testing activities, and evaluate results.
• Perform root cause and failure analysis for assembly and test issues, drive corrective actions, and document findings.
• Evaluate and improve work methods, business processes, and policies; mentor and train junior engineers.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in manufacturing engineering with working knowledge of related disciplines.
• Experience solving complex problems, analyzing multiple information sources, and making engineering decisions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, lean principles, automation, continuous improvement, and DFx.
• Etch engineering experience is highly desired.
• Ability to build consensus, explain complex information, and collaborate with engineering and supplier teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in Austin and travel approximately 10% of the time.
