Controller (Healthcare Finance)

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States; work is performed in an office environment. Occasional air or automobile travel may be required.

Salary: $155,500–$220,472 annual, plus bonus eligibility.

Physician-owned Minnesota Oncology practice within hirify.global, providing oncology care and supporting multisite healthcare operations.

What you will do

• Serve as the day-to-day financial expert and advise executive leadership and physician owners on long-term financial plans.
• Oversee revenue cycle activities, account reconciliations, month-end accounting, general ledger systems, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Develop management reports and annual operating, capital, and cash flow budgets for multiple operating units.
• Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, practice agreements, and compliance with revenue cycle procedures.
• Present detailed financial information at physician and board meetings and support cost-effective healthcare delivery.
• Supervise one Accounting Manager, one Staff Accountant, and one Financial Analyst, while coordinating audits and financial systems initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• At least seven years of fiscal management experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, accounting operations, internal controls, and revenue cycle management.
• Ability to work in an office environment and interact frequently with practice management, staff, physicians, and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Three years of public accounting experience.
• Healthcare experience.
• Experience working across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
• CPA or CMPE certification.
