Manager, Practice Accounting (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Lead accounting support for a region covering 2–3 partner oncology practices and oversee teams of 4–8 staff and senior accountants.
• Coordinate the monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation activities, and financial statement reporting.
• Ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting, revenue recognition, and maintenance of records under US GAAP.
• Research and document technical accounting matters, including revenue, leases, and liabilities.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management, and Data and Analytics teams to resolve business issues.
• Hire, train, develop, and evaluate accounting personnel while presenting financial results to practice leadership, the CFO, and other executives.

Requirements

• Accounting degree; a graduate degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Prior supervisory experience managing accounting personnel and building high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting, technical accounting research, and US GAAP.
• Strong Excel skills, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel occasionally to physician oncology clinics or business offices when required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Workday or another ERP platform.
• Active CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure.
