SCADA/MES Developer (Industrial Automation)

Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee, United States; onsite at the New Jefferson City manufacturing facility

Salary: $82,900–$134,300 per year

What you will do

• Develop, configure, enhance, and support SCADA applications using Ignition 8.1 and MES applications using Sepasoft 3.81.
• Build and maintain Ignition Perspective screens, views, and manufacturing application functionality with Python/Jython.
• Develop SQL Server scripts and support manufacturing data management, GE Historian, and TimeBase Historian solutions.
• Provide hands-on production support, troubleshoot root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain system availability.
• Develop integrations between SCADA/MES applications, plant-floor technologies, autonomous mobile robots, and other manufacturing systems.
• Support testing, implementation, upgrades, technical documentation, deployment plans, security, data integrity, and backup/recovery practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing or supporting SCADA, MES, manufacturing applications, or related industrial technology.
• Development and production support experience with Ignition and Sepasoft.
• Experience with Python, Microsoft SQL Server databases and scripting, and Ignition Perspective applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, IT, and other business stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sepasoft Batch, Document Management, OEE, and Settings & Changeover modules.
• Experience with HighByte, Unified Namespace, MQTT, VDA 5050, REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Experience with GE Historian or TimeBase Historian, PLCs, industrial automation, assembly, fabrication, or paint operations.
• Experience integrating SCADA/MES systems with AMRs and other autonomous manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools; a relevant bachelor's degree is beneficial.
