Sr. Controls Engineer - PLC (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Develop machine integration plans and schedules for manufacturing execution systems.
• Program, test, simulate, start up, and commission PLC and SCADA control systems.
• Analyze customer needs, document functional specifications, and translate requirements into system design specifications.
• Prepare statements of work, status reports, budgets, and other project deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to plant engineering resources and mentor project team members.
• Validate changes, secure customer acceptance, and train users on updated business processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience programming industrial controls, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to develop and integrate software solutions for industrial controllers.
• Hands-on ability to configure MOM software, scripting, and database connectivity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, vendors, and internal customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rockwell Logix and GE RXi PLC platforms.
• Experience with GE Proficy Suite, Cimplicity, iFix, and Historian.
• Experience configuring OPC servers and historians.
• Knowledge of Modbus, DeviceNet, and Profinet protocols.
• Experience with SQL Server and managing technical projects through the full project lifecycle.
