Patient Access Senior Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: US - National; travel required 10–50% of the time. Relocation to Madison, Wisconsin, is not required.

What you will do

• Lead daily execution of project initiatives, engagement workstreams, work plans, issue logs, status reports, and initiative trackers.
• Analyze reports, dashboards, data warehouses, industry benchmarks, and internal methodologies to identify opportunities and develop recommendations.
• Deliver patient access solutions covering provider scheduling templates, pre-arrival workflows, referrals, patient satisfaction, financial clearance, and process automation.
• Create and review financial analyses, statistical reports, visualizations, presentations, process flows, and client-ready deliverables.
• Conduct client interviews and meetings, present findings to project and client leadership, and communicate project risks with mitigation plans.
• Supervise, train, and review the work of junior colleagues while contributing to SAS practice development and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; business, healthcare administration, or industrial engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of in-depth healthcare experience in patient access, including referrals and provider orders, scheduling and provider template optimization, authorizations, or registration.
• Demonstrated accomplishments in healthcare experience, with strong client communication, organization, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, lead teams and initiatives, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain attention to detail and integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, virtual meeting technologies, and cloud technologies.
• Must be able to work in the United States; travel 10–50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Management consulting experience in healthcare, particularly patient access, front-end revenue cycle, or digital front door.
• Experience with Epic Cadence, Referrals, MyChart, Prelude, Grand Central, ADT, Meditech ARM, or Oracle Health applications.
• Experience with patient contact center centralization, patient access strategy, self-scheduling, digital front door technologies, process automation, or exception-based workflows.
