Healthcare Tech Senior Associate - Patient Access (Epic)

Location: Chicago, United States; willingness to travel is required based on client and project requirements.

What you will do

• Lead and support Epic Patient Access implementations, optimizations, upgrades, and workflow redesign initiatives.
• Assess current-state workflows and recommend best practices for scheduling, registration, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.
• Facilitate requirements gathering with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders and translate business needs into Epic solutions.
• Configure, test, deploy, and optimize Epic Patient Access applications and related functionality.
• Provide end-user training, workflow guidance, issue resolution, and post-go-live stabilization support.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, HIM, Clinical, and Reporting teams while providing strategic Epic recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of Epic Patient Access experience in a healthcare or consulting environment.
• Experience with Epic implementations, optimizations, upgrades, or support engagements.
• Strong understanding of patient access workflows and revenue cycle integration.
• Experience conducting workflow assessments and translating business requirements into Epic solutions.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, prioritization, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Active Epic Prelude, Epic Real-Time Eligibility, or Epic Cadence certification; Epic Prelude is preferred.
• Epic Grand Central, Epic Referrals, or Epic Revenue Cycle-related certifications.
• Healthcare consulting experience or experience with large integrated health systems and academic medical centers.
• Experience with workflow redesign, operational transformation, change management, mentoring, or go-live support.
